1.学生通过学习能够用正确的语音语调在教师的指导下进行交际活动。

2.学生通过学习能够读懂简单的英文材料并借助工具书对所给材料进行分析、整理。

通过学习学生能养成乐于模仿,敢于开口的语言学习习惯。

主要任务设计:

一、名片制作

²       任务目标:通过对所给材料的整理、归纳,制作他人或自己的名片。

²       任务性质:书面阅读、写作训练。

²       小组形式:个人、两人组、全班。

²       活动方式:本活动可以采取个人展示、小组竞赛、表演等方式。

²       操作过程:

1.      介绍若干个人物材料(如体育明星、科学家等)。

2.      学生根据人物材料制作名片。

3.      名片演示、竞赛。

二、 人物“数递”:

²       任务目标:通过游戏方式复习数字。

²       任务性质:口语听说训练。

²       小组形式:小组或全班。

²       活动方式:分组或台上表演。

²       操作过程:

1.      全班分成若干个小组,每组5-8人。

2.      小组成员站成一排,但相互不能靠得很近。教师给第一位同学一张纸条,纸条上有电话号码或门牌号码等数字信息。

3.      小组成员依次低声口头传递纸条上的信息,信息全对者为胜。

Lesson 29

Teaching Aims of knowledge:

1.    Words: phone, well, fax, ID

2.    The numbers ( 0-99 ). 

3.    The singular and plural nouns.  

Teaching Procedures:

Step 1 Revision

1.      Revise the expressions of greeting.

T: Good morning! Boys and girls.   S: Good morning, Mr. Wang.

T: Nice to meet you.              S: Nice to meet you, too.

T: How are you today?            S: Fine, thanks, and you?

2.      Revise introductions.

Ask students to introduce themselves in English. (Including name, age, identity, school, class, row and friends) Tell the students that they can consult Lesson 28.

Step 2 Ask and answer

Show pictures to the Ss to review singular and plural nouns by asking and answering questions.

T: What’s this?                    S1: It’s a cup.

T: Is this a banana?                 S2: No, it’s an orange.

T: What are these?                  S3: They are bikes.

T: Are they bikes?                   S4: No, they are cars.

Step 3 Review numbers

1.    Review numbers from zero to twenty-nine. Then ask several students to say these numbers.

2.    Play number game.

Step 4 Ask and write

Get students to turn to P36. Teach the new words fax, bike, room, phone and ID. If possible, use pictures to teach these words.

Get students to fill in the information, using real numbers where possible, and making up numbers for the others.

Ask students to ask and answer the questions in pairs.

 A: What’s your fax number?

 B: It’s … What’s your fax number?

 A: It’s … What’s your bike number?

 B: … etc.

Step 5 Listening

Listen to the tape and answer the following questions.

1.    Is everyone here?  (no)

2.    Who is not here?   (Jim and Lilei)

3.    Where are they?    (I think they are at home.)

Step 6 Name cards

Students work in pairs to make name cards according to the teacher’s description. eg. Yao Ming

Step 7 Homework

1.    Copy and recite the new words.

2.    Copy the phrases in Wb. Ex2.

3.    Fill the blanks.

Lesson 30

2.    Revise the possessive pronouns. 

3.    Revise the expressions of introducing one to another. 

Teaching Procedures:

Step 1 Revision

1.      Revise the questions.

Who are they? …etc.

Ask the students to ask and answer in pairs.

2.      Revise personal and possessive pronouns.

Step 2 Presentation

1.    Ask students Who’s this? Do you know? Help them answer He is a policeman. Tell the students that the policeman is checking a driver’s licence. In this way teach the students the new words.

2.    Ask the students to look at the pictures and ask:

Can you see a policeman?

Can you see a man?

Can you see a car?

It’s the man’s car.

Step 3 Listen and read

1.    Listen to the tape and have the students to find out whether the car is the man’s or not..

2.    Listen to the tape again and imitate each sentence, then read in roles.

3.    Students work in groups of three, try to act out the dialogue.

Step 4 Read, ask and answer

1.    Get students to look at the picture. Introduce the boy in the picture to the students.

  A: Who’s this?                 B: It’s Jim Green.

  A: What’s his name?            B: His name is Jim Green.

  A: How old is he?              B: He is twelve.

  A: what class is he in?           B: He is in Class 3, Grade 1.

  A: What’s his address?          B: His address is …

2.    Ask the students to work in pairs according to the table on the blackboard.

Step 5 Workbook

1.    Ex. 2 Write the sentences, using short forms.

2.    Ex. 3 Students read and act out the dialogue.

Ask the students to ask and answer in pairs.

4.      Revise the dialogue of Lesson 30. First get students To recite it, then ask several students to act the dialogue out.

Step 2 Presentation

Draw a boy and a girl on the blackboard. Point to the boy and ask Who is he? Do you know? ( guess) Yes, he is Jack Brown. Point to the girl and ask Who is she? ( guess ) Let me tell you she’s Emma White. Get students to repeat the names. Tell the students that Jack Brown and Emma White are new students. Then ask them to listen to the tape and answer the following questions.

1.    What class are they in?

2.    How old are they?

Step 3 Listen, read and say

4.    Have students listen to the tape and repeat after it. Students imitate.

5.    Students read in roles. Group 1,2 will be Lin Tao, Group 3 be Jack., Group 4 Emma. Then students work in groups of three, try to act.

6.    Have students read the dialogue again, then answer the following questions.

a)      Are Jack and Emma in the same class?

b)      Are Lin Tao and Jack in the same room?

c)      What’s Jack’s room number?

d)      Is Lin Tao a new student?

e)      What’s Lin Tao’s room number?

Step 4 Game

Show students some pictures. Ask the students to find out the number of different patterns.

Eg. How many triangles are there in the pictures
