主要任务设计:

一、你说我画

²       任务目标:通过描述图片和再现图片训练学生的语言表达和接受能力。

²       任务性质:口语听说交际训练。

²       小组形式:两人组、全班。

²       活动方式:本活动可以采取多种形式,如竞赛、表演等。

²       操作过程:

1.    发给各小组不同的图片,小组间不能够相互看到对方的图片。

2.    一方对图片进行描述,另一方根据对方的描述把图片描绘出来。

3.    把原图片与再现图片进行对比。

二、记忆描述

²       任务目标:根据对图片的记忆描述图片,训练there be句型。

²       任务性质:口语表达训练。

²       小组形式:小组或全班。

²       活动方式:本活动可以采用小组竞赛或上台表演的方式。

²       操作过程:

1.出示一幅有很多物品和人物的图片,时间几秒钟。

2.学生根据记忆对图片内容进行描述。

Lesson 41

Step 1 Revision

1.      Revise the use of articles a, an and the, using What can you see? I can see a …Where is the … It’s …

2.      Revise the prepositions: in, on, under, behind, near

3.      Revise the dialogue of Lesson 40

Step 2 Presentation

Show students the flashcards and tell the students it’s the teacher’s room.. Ask the students What’s in the teacher’s room? Help the students to answer.

There is a desk in the room.

There is a chair in the room.

There is a clock in the room.

There is a map in the room.

There are some books in the room.

There are some flowers in the room.

Write these sentences on the blackboard and get the students to read them.

Step 3 Practice

a)    Show the pictures and get the students to practise using there is/there’re structure.

                                  i.            What’s in the teacher’s room?

                              ii.            what’s on the desk?

                          iii.            What’s under/near the desk?

                              iv.            What’s on the wall?

b)    Students practise asking and answering questions according to the examples.

Step 4 Look and say

Have students listen to the tape with the following question.

What’s in the teacher’s room?

Then play the tape again and get the students to read it.

Step 5 Practice

Ask students to practise the dialogue in pairs. Then ask them to make a new dialogue using What’s …?  There is …    There are …

Step 6 Presentation

Go to the door, locked the door then point to the door and say The door is locked

Open the door and say The door is open now.

Teach the new words lock and locked

Tell the students that there are many things in the teacher’s room. Lin Tao is at the door. He must find Miss Gao and get the ball. In this way, teach the students the new words many things, must and get

Step 7 Look ask and answer

Students look at the picture and answer the teacher’s questions:

What do the see in the room?

What do they want to do?

Step 8 Listen and draw

Get the students to listen to the tape and draw a picture on the paper according to the tape.

Ex 3. Fill in the blanks with are or is.

Homework

1.Copy and recite the new words.

2.Read the dialogue and try to make a new one with the deskmate.

 

 

 

Lesson 42

Teaching Procedures:

Step 1 Revision

1.      Revise the prepositions and There is /There are structure with a picture.

T: What’s in the picture?

S: There is a house in it.

T: What’s near the house?

2.      Revise the dialogue of Lesson 41

Step 2 Presentation

Show students a purse and teach the new word purse. Tell the students it’s Emma’s purse. And there is some money in it. In this way teach the new words some, money, black and colour

Step 3 Listen, read and act

Have students listen to the tape with the following question.

Who is Emma turning to for help?

Then play the tape again and get the students to read it.

Students work in pairs to act the dialogue out, and at last choose one pair to act in the front.

Step 4 Listen and say

Get the students to listen to the tape with the questions:

1.    What’s in Emma’s purse?

2.    What colour is the purse?

3.    How much money is there in the purse?

Ask the students to answer the questions in pairs. Then have them practise the dialogue in groups of three.

Step 5 Ask and answer

Ask students to read Part 1 and 2 again. Then ask them to answer the following questions

1.    Who is Jack?

2.    Can Emma or Jack find the purse?

3.    Is the purse white?

Step6 Game of memory

Show some pictures to the students for only a few seconds and get them to describe the picture according to their memory.

Homework

1.Copy and recite the new words.

2.Read and recite the dialogue.

  Step1: Revision

      ① Revise a/an/the, prepositional phrases and “there be” structure.

           T: What’s this?                  S: It’s a purse.

           T: Where’s the purse?             S: It’s on the desk.

           T: What’s in the purse? Can you guess?    S: There’s some money.   etc.

         Repeat this with other things. Then get Ss practise with their partners.

      ② Now let’s play a game. Close your eyes.

(Put one thing somewhere in the classroom and have the Ss ask and answer Qs to try to find it. When a student finds the item, let him/her select the next item and hide it. )

   Is it in the desk?  Is it under …?  etc.

  Step2: Presentation

    Show two boxes. One is big and one is small.

T: There are two boxes in my hand. This one is big. What about this one?

S: It’s small.

    Show the picture from the text in Part1.

T: Let’s look at this picture. Can you see a tree?    S: Yes, I can.

T: What else can you see in the picture?          S: I can see …

T: What’s in the tree?                 S: There’s a house.

T: Yes. We also call it a playhouse. Is the tree big or is the playhouse big?

S: The tree is big and the playhouse is small.

T: Yes. The playhouse is small. But children like to play in it.

T: (Pointing to the boy named Tom)

Look! Tom is there. He’s up there in the tree. Who’s that boy?

           S: He’s Bill. He’s in the tree with Tom. (Help Ss say.)

           T: OK. Let’s have a look. Have a look at the picture. What’s in it?

Look at the picture in Part1. Prepare to ask and answer these Qs in Part3 with your partner. Then get pairs to ask and answer. They can also ask other Qs. Let them ask more Qs as possible as they can.

  “Is this your picture?  Can I see it?   It’s very good.  Where do you like to play?”etc.

      Now let’s listen to the twins talking about what they’ve seen.

      Play the tape and listen.  Then read the dialogue.

      Get the Ss to practise the dialogue as they are the twins.

      Perform the dialogue.

        First let’s read the words above the picture in Part1.

        Now don’t look at any words, say something about the picture as what you’ve seen.

        Give three minutes to prepare then get individuals say about the picture.

① Read the dialogue in Part2, Lesson43. Copy the new words.

② Finish Exx.2,3&4 in Wb.

④ Correct the sentences:

Teaching Procedures:

Step1: Revision

     Revise the sentence structure “There be”.

     Ask and answer “What’s in/ on/ … ? There is/ are …” using the objects around us.

     Finish Ex.4 in Wb as revision.

Step2: Touch and answer

    ① Look at my hand. Here’s a bag, a big bag. You can’t see the things in the bag. Do you want to know what’s in it? You can guess. (Get Ss use the imagination to guess the things in the bag.) You can say “Let me see. I think there is/ are … in the bag.” (Get more Ss take part in this step.)

    ② OK. Just now you only just guess. Now I want to you to put one of your hands into the bag. Touch the things and then tell us what’s in the bag. You can begin your sentence like “There is/ are … ”.

       To encourage Ss, we can give the thing to the student who guesses right.

③ Play a game. Get one student come to the front. The rest Ss close eyes. The student puts one small thing in one of his/ her hands. Then show us his/ her two hands. Let us guess what’s in one of the hands, just like “I think there is/ are … in his/ her right/ left hand.”

Step3: Look and find

      Look at the picture. Find things in the picture. Use the sentence structure in the text. Do it in four and let them have a competition, which group can find the most things. Introduce some new words for Ss like: dog, bottle, kite etc. Give Ss as much time as possible to discuss the picture in small group.

      After the competition, now have the Ss draw a picture by themselves in four. Let other Ss to guess what’s in the picture.

Step6: Description and drawing.

   Show different pictures to the students and get them to work in pairs to practice. One student describe the picture and the other draw the picture according to the description.

       There be句型,存在句,表示某地方存在有什么东西,“有”。其中be 动词要遵循“就近原则”:

           There is a book and two pens on the desk.

           There are three children and their mother under the tree.

           There is/ are … doing

       动词“have”,“有”,表示拥有,所属关系。

           I have three good friends

           The desk has four legs.
